The Bihar Cabinet has cleared a series of infrastructure initiatives to strengthen regional air connectivity and promote investment, including the development of five new airports and nine heliports under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The proposed airports will be located in Kishanganj, Begusarai and Gopalganj, while heliports are planned across eight districts. The state government will contribute 25% of the total project cost and provide tax concessions and financial assistance to private partners to support implementation.
The Cabinet has also approved a five-star hotel project at Vaishali, increasing the allocated land area from five acres to 10 acres to facilitate development under the PPP model. In addition, a technology park is planned in Patna.
The projects are expected to improve regional connectivity, strengthen tourism infrastructure, attract private investment and create employment opportunities across Bihar.
